JBoss Hits Amazon’s EC2 Cloud

Red Hat is beta testing its JBoss Enterprise Application Platform as a solution on Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). It’s a way to tickle enterprise adoption of its Java application server.
EC2 offers developers,
enterprises and startups a web-scale compute infrastructure with virtually
unlimited capacity and pay-as-you-go pricing. And of course clouds right now
are very chi-chi.
Red Hat figures EC2 lowers the entry barriers to open source middleware and claims points for providing the first cloud-based Java application server.
The company’s Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system hit EC2 in November.
JBoss Enterprise Application Platform integrates the JBoss Application Server with JBoss Hibernate, JBoss Seam and other open source Java technologies from JBoss.org.
